55th District

Welcome.  Thank you for visiting Tony Klimek’s web site.  Tony is running for the Ohio State House because it is time for a new leader to represent the 55th District.  Tony and his wife Jan have four kids and have lived in West Chester since 1996.  He is an active member of his community and understands the issues facing families and businesses.  He will work with Governor Strickland, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents to address the issues facing Ohio

The Klimek Philosophy.  Like other members of the middle class, the Klimek family lives within their income, tries to save for the future, and makes choices they hope will provide a better life for their family.  Tony Klimek will stand up for the taxpayers of Butler County and demand that the state government operate in accordance with the following:

  • Live within our means.  Tony Klimek is committed to making sure our tax dollars are spent wisely and we live within our budget.  Government services should be provided in an efficient and cost effective manner.  Programs should be assessed to evaluate their effectiveness; technology and innovation should be used to constantly improve services.

  • Invest in what matters.  We need to invest in education, infrastructure, and other issues that will provide a strong foundation on which to build a bright future for Ohio.  We need to make sure that all Ohio children have the opportunity for a solid education that prepares them for today’s global economy.  Our K-12 funding system should be fixed to address the inequities that have been ignored for years.

  • Work together on the tough issues.  We need to discuss and address the tough issues facing our state and obtain input from all stakeholders.  Taxes, energy, school funding, and infrastructure should be addressed in a bi-partisan manner.  The recent partisan games played by our representatives that excluded elected officials from the legislative process simply because they were from another political party are a disgrace.  Representatives that want to play childish partisan games do not belong in Columbus.  I will work with the Governor and all members of state government in a respectful manner to address the tough issues.

Issues.  General approaches to issues are described on the “General Issues” page.  More detailed positions will be presented in the upcoming weeks and months.  Please contact Tony Klimek through the “Contact Us” button if you have a specific issue that you would like to discuss or see addressed.
