Greetings from Chairman Larry Reynolds:
My thanks to all who attended our Lincoln Day Dinner and supported our County Party with their attendance and commitment. We had a wonderful speaker, Colonel Michael Blaisdale, USAF Ret., who was informative and entertaining. Senator Shawn Mitchell was in his usual funny, entertaining and capable form as our Master of Ceremonies. The “Moms” singing group provided a light hearted musical interlude.
The Colorado Republican State Convention is now over. I cannot express enough thanks to those Delegates and Alternates who attended. Thank you for being committed and concerned enough to give up your time and money on a beautiful Saturday. I wish to give a special thanks to those Alternates who were not moved up Delegate status. Your presence was no less appreciated or needed. An old military phrase comes to mind:
“They also serve who only stand and wait.”
The Convention clicked right along and actually was ahead of schedule. The Chairman had to resort to some fill-in speakers until Mitt Romney arrived. Governor Romney received a thunderous welcome and did not disappoint with his speech.
We now move ahead to the business of electing our candidates to office. The precinct committee people will be receiving training and mobilizing all Republicans to action to get the job done. More later on upcoming events.
