        ARNOLD

U. S.  Congress  -  Illinois 8th District

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE !

THANK YOU for taking the time and effort to visit my website!  Unlike Democrat incumbent Melissa Bean, I relish you finding out about both the issues AND candidates in detail!   Only then can you make a fully informed decision as to who should both represent the Republican Party in the November election and who should represent our Congressional District thereafter.

I am confident that you will choose to join me in my campaign to break away from the intentionally vague, unspecific, and uninspiring political “leaders” of the past (and some of my current opponents who still practice this style).  You will choose to go with someone who prides himself on his specificity, creativity; and, some would say, political courage to tell you what needs to be told and when it needs to be told to you.

The time has long gone (in both Parties) for politicians who deal in generalities and vague doubletalk – those who give you soothing words but do nothing.  WE NEED PROBLEM SOLVERS – NOT POLITICIANS.

Our problems are too serious and the delay in solving them too long to have continued patience.  I am personally frustrated in a number of areas with BOTH political Parties (the lack of addressing our National Healthcare system crises quickly comes to mind).  Frankly, NEITHER Party has done much on any of my five platform issues.  And I’m stepping forward to remedy that situation!

I have found thru my standing at train platforms, meeting voters in front of grocery stores, and making presentations throughout the District that my frustrations, and impatience, is right in line with that of most 8th District voters today (Democrat and Republican).  That is why I most reflect our District when compared to either Melissa Bean or any other Republican opponent -- and a reason why I will make the most appropriate and representative Congressman for our 8th Congressional District.

Again, I thank you for visiting.  And please contact my campaign via the “Ask Ken” Link found at the left should you have any remaining questions.

LATEST NEWS:

2/06/07:  Sad to report, but our cause did not prevail in a three way contest on February 5th.  Our modest campaign budget with few donations could not overcome a much better financed opponent in this contest.  It appears to be the nature of our modern politics (which must surely change).

Our message was surely the best of all candiates and very well received.  However:  Our limited megaphone could not overcome others.  Most heartening to me, however, is those that knew me best (i.e. my own Precinct and area) once again voted for me by better than a 2 to 1 margin against the winning candidate.  On THAT I can truly seek solace...

As Republicans, however, we must now rally around the winner - Mr. Steve Greenberg - who would be counted as an "R" within Congress, help potentially give us a Republican Speaker of the House, and break the chains of Democrat Melissa Bean's continuing - and then potentially permanent - tenure within the 8th District.

We wish him well...

Conservatively yours,
