Eeve Lewis Celebration BBQ

   On September 23, SRRWF held a great BBQ celebration for Eeve Lewis’ 31 years of service to        Sonoma County as Clerk, Assessor and Registrar of    Voters.  The day at Wild Oak Saddle Club in Oakmont was absolutely perfect.  The weather was beautiful. The view was spectacular, consisting of a great view of Sugar Loaf Ridge and polo ponies practicing for the next day’s games on the polo field.

  The food was prepared by members of the club and consisted of salads, bread and dessert.  Tri tips were prepared and cooked by Pete Swallow and served by Jack Geary.  Tom Viers cooked the pasta which was delicious.  Joe Parks was our bartender..

  The raffle prizes were great and all were         donated.  We had terrific wines, plants, gift baskets and different kinds of food.  There were 22 items in all.

  Eeve was very appreciative of the honor and was especially pleased to have retired Congressman Don Claussen present her an award.  Paul Kelly and Rod Dole also spoke about her integrity, competence and generally excellent work.  Secretary of State McPherson could not come to the event because of schedule conflicts but he wishes to come in November to make a personal presentation to Eeve.  We will be planning for that.
