Councilwoman Ingrid Quinn
Ingrid Quinn is a former member of the Westwood Board of Health and works with the Borough Welfare Board through the social action committee of Zion Lutheran church. She also serves Zion Lutheran Church as an Elder and Sunday School Superintendent, Homebound Sponsor, and choirmember. A licensed registered nurse, Quinn also works with the Community Resource Council and the Bergen County Division of Senior Services Advisory Board Health Committee. She has been a speaker for the American Heart Association for more than 20 years and serves as a nurse educator for the Cancer Society. She also interacts with high school students through the Explorers program and with children, parents and grandparents as a certified child passenger safety technician.
Quinn moved to Westwood in 1964 when her father was called as pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. She attended Zion Lutheran School and graduated from Westwood Regional High School. Quinn received her BSN from Bloomfield College Presbyterian Division of Nursing and has completed a certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing. During college, she began working at Pascack Valley Hospital and continued to work there as a nurse in the Community Outreach Center until the hospital closing in November, 2007.
Councilwoman Quinn currently serves as liasion to Health and Recreation and deputy liasion to Public Properties. She is also Council liasion to the Library Board.
She and her husband Bill, have two daughters.
