We just got back from the last Church Campaign Team meeting.

Towards the end of the meeting, I always have an agenda item entitled 'Tales from the Trail'. This is where team members tell funny or encouraging events that have happened during the last week of campaigning.

Tonight, some of the stories were empowering and/or hilarious. Peals of laughter and/or applause filled the meeting room on a few occasions. We were so loud, in fact, I wondered if we were disturbing the restaurant's patrons in the adjoining room.

As we drove home, I wondered if any other candidate was having a similar experience on this Sunday, two evenings before the election.

Somehow, I don't think so.

We're off on the trail bright and early in the morning.
