Committed to Higher Expectations for Colorado's Educational Future
Accountability: With measured personnel accountability and students held accountable thru a rigorous and relevant education program we can ensure that taxpayer money is spent in the most efficient way.
Innovation: We must move away from the old, 20th century methods and ideas if we are to increase student engagement and success.
Action: Thoughtful planning processes must be executed in a timely manner.
Choice: This becomes of greater and greater importance, both in allowing parents to make the choice for their children's education and, perhaps, even more importantly to provide the needed driving force to bring about true education reform.
The time is ripe for educational reform. The general public has become more aware of the poor standing of American students, when measured against other industrial nations, and of the vital national importance of improving these statistics to insure that the United States remains a world leader in business, science and technology.
What does education reform mean to you? There are many solutions which lead to sometimes heated discussions. I look forward to these discussions on these pages in the next few months and hope to engage you in that conversation.
