The choice in this race is pretty simple.

Vote for my opponent, and your taxes will increase.

Why?

Because the Democrats have a 2/3rds majority in the Assembly right now.  That gives them the power to pass tax increases and override the Governor's veto of those tax increases, as they did in 2009.

And believe me folks they will try to raise taxes in 2011.

But if I'm elected, they will lose that majority.

It is that simple!

There are many important issues facing our state, but none more important than our state budget and your money.

We need real leadership to stand up to the special interests that run the agenda in the legislature.  Unlike my opponent, I am not tied to any special interest group.  I’m just a hardworking business woman who is tired of watching our state leaders spend my tax dollars as their monopoly money, and continue to avoid making the tough decisions.

We need to address a lot of daunting issues, like fixing the state’s retirement and health systems that have a looming $5 billion debt that taxpayers will have to pay.

Over the next few months I’ll add more of my concerns on this website, and I hope you’ll tell me your concerns as well.

A Few Key Issues for this Election

Jobs - Government doesn't create jobs, businesses do.  To get Nevadans working, businesses have to grow.

Taxes - Even President Obama said you don't raise taxes in a recession, but our legislators did in 2009, 2010 and will try again in 2011.

State Spending - our state budget has grown more than our state can support.

Education - we can improve education by giving parents more say in their child's education, and giving principals and teachers more power to do their jobs.

I look forward to listening to you and learning how we can make Nevada a better place to live.
