The Amherst Youth Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to insure that adequate programs and projects are provided which will challenge our youth to achieve their highest goals.

The Foundation is committed to raising community awareness about the needs of youth and to actively help serve those needs through financial support.

The Amherst Youth Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable foundation. It is recognized by the I.R.S. as a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are deductible to the extent allowed by law.

It is also recognized by the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County as a donor option agency. This means that any individual or organization making a donation to the United Way may designate all or any part of their donation to the Amherst Youth Foundation, Inc.

In 2007 in collaboration with the Youth Board, Amherst School District and other organizations, 8200 youth, parents and residents were served at the Independent Health Youth and Family Center or in the community
(please check the 2007 Highlights link).

We are committed to assisting the Amherst Youth Board expand its programs in a rapidly growing community.

We are committed to establishing an Endowment and Trust Fund Program to assure long term stability and growth.

Annual reports are on file with the New York State Office of Charities Registration and the IRS.
