Trade Policy
Trade policy must be fair to American workers and must respect human rights. We must end the drain of American jobs to other nations. All trade agreements must meet human rights and ensure fair wages while protecting the environment. American workers and companies must be able to compete in overseas markets on level playing field.
FREE TRADE
I have always been opposed to Free Trade.
The Free Trade position that this country has taken is anti-environmental and anti-worker. It does not mandate that workers in other countries be given the right to decent working conditions, environmentally safe conditions, or living wages.
Not only that, but trade agreements like NAFTA have adversely impacted the American economy and worker because they make us less competitive. |
