Today I am announcing the creation of an Exploratory Committee to look at the distinct possibility of running for Congress in 2010.
With the election of Barack Obama as President of the United States our country has taken a huge step towards a more progressive nation. However, there are still pressing matters that need to be addressed.
We need Universal Health Care. We need one health plan for all Americans. I support HR 676. This is a single-payor system which would guarantee healthcare for every American, even if you lose or change your job or move, provide comprehensive services for all medically necessary care, assure choice of doctors and hospitals, and puts patients in control of their health, not the insurance companies.
We must assure that all of our children have a quality education.
We must endeavor to ensure our energy independence through green technology.
