Medical Practice Consultant. Currently, expanding a medical practice in Corpus Christi, integrating Physical Therapy into a pain management practice involving all aspects of the business: acquiring appropriate lease space, remodeling the space, hiring professional staff, setting up procedures and policies for the expanded practice.

  • Senatorial District 14 Convention. Attended and served on the Nominations Committee (2006)

·      Hill School (PTA Board Member, Volunteer Coordinator, Homeroom Mother, Field Day coordinating committee, conducted teacher staff development and parenting programs)

·      Murchison Middle School (PTA Board member, Fall Festival Committee, Campus Advisory Board, Substitute Teacher)

·      Anderson High School (PTSA Board Member, Campus Advisory Board, President of the AHS Band Boosters)

 

1984-1994

SAT Prep Course Instructor for High School students.  Designed, marketed and taught the course with average success rate of raising scores 100 points

1981-1983

Adjunct Graduate School Faculty, St. Edwards University.  Taught Management and Organizational Development Courses at in the MBA program.  Designed a course for the May Term in Communication Skills for managers, initiated video feedback model for job interviewing

1978-1981

Director of Human Resources, EXECUCOM Systems Corp. Developed hiring, salary and promotion policies for a dynamically growing computer consulting company with 300% growth in 3 yrs

1972-75

Coordinator of Jester Center, University of Texas at Austin. Hired, trained and managed a staff of undergraduate and graduates in a residence hall housing 1,800 students.  Responsible for programs and discipline in Jester West Residence Hall.

Personal

 

Married for 30 years to Richard M. Edwards.  We have three adult daughters.  The oldest recently married, employed as a statistician with Intel Corp in Arizona, the middle daughter is a graduate student at Texas State University and the youngest is a recent graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans.  Member of St. Theresa Catholic Church for 25 years, served as Director of Religious Education for three years.  Born in Nashville,Tennessee.  Graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield, TN in 1965.  Lived in Travis County and voted Republican for over two decades.
