State Senator Jennifer Beck
Senator Jennifer Beck was born and raised in Erie, PA. She attended Boston College, where she majored in Physics and Mathematics. She also was a walk-on for the BC track team where she was named co-captain her senior year. She then got her Masters in Government Administration from the Fels School of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. She started her career as Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Joe Azzolina, before leaving for the private sector, where she ran the Trenton office of MWW, New Jersey's largest public affairs firm. Before serving in the State Senate, Jennifer served two terms on the Red Bank Borough council, getting elected and re-elected in a town in which registered Democrats outnumber Republicans by a significant margin. She was the only elected Republican on the council during her tenure. She then served as State Assemblywoman in the 12th District. Senator Beck is a trustee with the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, a member of the Red Bank Womans Club and formerly was a rape crisis counselor at what is now 180 / Turning Lives Around. State Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande
Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande is the youngest member of New Jersey's 213th Legislature, and the youngest Assemblywoman ever elected in New Jersey. Assemblywoman Casagrande was born November 21, 1976, and has been a lifelong resident of Monmouth County. She graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School, Penn State University, and Rutgers School of Law - Camden, before returning to Monmouth County to practice law. Throughout her educational career Assemblywoman Casagrande has been deeply involved in community activities. While at Penn State, Assemblywoman Casagrande was Student Body President. During her term, she worked to reduce the cost of student transportation around campus, improve student health care services, and protect students from dramatic tuition increases. While in school, Assemblywoman Casagrande participated in the development of the new democracy government of South Africa, and while in law school performed pro bono legal services for bankruptcy filers in Camden, NJ. Today, she hopes to draw on these experiences as she serves the residents of New Jersey's 12th legislative district as their Assemblywoman. Assemblywoman Casagrande's legal career began between semesters of law school, when she clerked at the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office in the appellate section, and at the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, Division of Law, focusing on insurance and banking, and corrections and state police. After her graduation from law school, Assemblywoman Casagrande clerked for the Honorable Robert O'Hagan of the New Jersey Superior Court, Civil Division in Freehold. Assemblywoman Casagrande served as a partner in the firm of Menna, Supko and Casagrande in Shrewsbury and as municipal attorney to Manalapan Township and special counsel to Fair Haven. A member of the Assembly Judiciary and State Government Committees, Assemblywoman Casagrande seeks to use her experience in municipal legal practice to inform her legislative decisions. During Assemblywoman Casagrande's successful campaign for Assembly in 2007, she was endorsed by the New Jersey Fraternal Order of Police, the Republican Leadership Council, the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey and the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association. Assemblywoman Casagrande is a resident of Colts Neck, where she lives with her husband Stephen Chance, son Harrison, and her beagle, Winston Churchill
