2009 Scholarship Winners Chosen
Congratulations!
The RWFM presented two $1,000 scholarship awards at the 27th Annual Tribute to Women event on May 16th in East Lansing. Ron Weiser, MI GOP Chair matched our $1,050.00 in donations with a matching check. The RWFM Executive Board voted on April 15th to present two scholarships. Thank you all for promoting the 2009 Scholarship and we look forward to next years 2010 RWFM Educational Scholarship winner.

Awards 2009 Educational Memorial Scholarships
On May 16th, 2009, Megan Devine & Bradi Pasch were awarded Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan Educational Memorial Scholarships at the “Tribute to Women” event held at the East Lansing Marriot Hotel, in Lansing Michigan.
Megan Devine
Megan attends Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She plans to attend Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio next fall and major in Early Education. She has a 3.96 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, the Christian Life Youth Group, and the Junior Statesmen of America. Megan is a member of the Mercy Spirit choir, Forensics team, St. Owens teen choir, a leader for her school’s prayer group called Faith on Friday, and works at a local restaurant. Megan has demonstrated leadership skills, strong values and ethics through involvement in school organizations. In her junior year she received an Optimist Club Leadership Award. Last summer Megan was selected to attend a leadership conference in Pennsylvania. In 2009 she received the Heart of Mercy Award given to one student who lives out our school values of justice, human dignity, mercy and service. For three years, Megan repaired homes for the poor. Recently, at St. Owens Catholic church she was instrumental setting up a collection site for donations of baby clothes and necessary items for mothers in need of assistance. Since 1994, Megan has donated many hours volunteering to promote the Republican ideals of life, personal responsibility and assisting the helpless in society. Megan truly embodies our Republican values in thought and action.
Bradi Pasch
Bradi attends St. Mary School in Lake Leelanau, Michigan. She plans to attend Central Michigan University in the fall, and will be pursuing a degree in Special Education. She has a 3.39 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Student member of the Republican Women of Leelanau County, Youth Advisory council, Provemont Press ( school newspaper) staff, and is a Student Council Secretary. Bradi demonstrates leadership skills, strong values and ethics through involvement in school organizations. She Co-Directed a St. Mary Middle School Play, was a Student Council Class Representative, Homecoming Committee Chair, Social Committee Co-Chair and Prom Committee member. For four years Bradi has volunteered on the Right to Life organization, is a St. Mary Catholic Church Altar Server, 4-H China Painting Club, and on the Blankets of Hope committee. She has helped 4th graders at Northport Public School, St. Mary Elementary Girls Basket ball Camp, participated at the Tendercare Asssisted Living Christmas Caroling and is a Red Cross Blood Drive Volunteer. Bradi is proud of the hours she spent volunteering for Republican Candidates distributing literature, gathering signatures and putting up yard signs. Bradi truly embodies our Republican values both in action and in thought.
