Dear Friend,

Tonight (10/13/2009) I pondered in quiet despair, the actions of 14 men and women who swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States, but instead their only accomplishment was to move it’s citizens toward a deepening servitude of the state.

Make no mistake these men and women of the Senate have witnessed the hundreds of thousands, and yes, millions across our nation who stood up and said in a resounding voice, “NO!” to more government. Yet in their arrogant and ego driven agenda they are going to force their failed policies on a people who used to love liberty more than life itself.

These vipers have once again spit their venomous laced words in the face of Lady Liberty as they talk of salvation for the masses, but the result will be the destruction of our nation.

How long must we endure their unabashed attack on our Constitution? The maligning of our founding fathers as they seek to re-write our America history?

These false prophets of freedom spread the lie that we can have liberty without responsibility. They talk of compassion for people, only to heap burden after burden on them.

How long must we wait until American men and women, Democrats and Republicans, stand up and say...

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government... But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these [ States] ; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government... The history of the present... of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States...- Declaration of Independence

Did this additional act of treachery come as a surprise? Sadly no. For like the majority of elected officials in Washington they reflect the ignorant populace who have willingly been blinded to the truth.

But the question today is what will you do? Will you be resolved to stand up for these God given liberties, even if it costs you your Life, your Fortune, and your sacred Honor? Or will you be swayed by the pleasures of this present day, content to feed from the hand a benevolent oppressor?

The masses are content to lie in their beds, hoping to reach a ripe old age, but ask yourself. Twenty, thirty, or even forty years from now when you will dream of a time that could have been. Would you give up all that “peace” for a chance to return your nation back to the promise our founders died for? Your children and their children await your answer.

Open Letter to the State of Missouri’s Elected Office Holders:

For years now, I, like many Missourians have been concerned about the increasing interference from the Federal government in our lives.

As an American citizen who believes that the United States Constitution is as valid today as it was when it was ratified September 17, 1787, I am asking you, our State elected officials, to stand up for the separation of powers as guaranteed by that timeless document.

I am appalled at the level to which the United States Congress taxes the citizens of the State of Missouri and then gives it back to us with the attitude that they are doing us a favor.

I am disgusted with the financial recklessness at which Congress is spending money that they do not even have. This practice is an indirect way to indenture every American.

The Tenth Amendment guarantees that powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. This is not happening!

Nowhere in the Constitution does Federal government have the authority to set levels of health care for citizens of the State of Missouri, nor do they have the authority to compel any Missourian to secure or purchase health insurance.

The very fact that there is a debate going on in our nation’s capital as to what Congress can do to or for us on this subject shows the ignorance and utter contempt that these people have for the Constitution.

They pass laws without reading them. They insert portions into bills without debate or discussion. They gain wealth at the expense of the people and pass laws while exempting themselves.

How long will must we suffer under this near autocratic rule. They are like a biblical plague of locust that are eating the hard work and labor of the American people.

It is obvious that Congress is not capable of making the necessary changes to bring our nation back to the rule of law. It is, therefore, time for every State government to assert itself and compel the Federal government to quit oppressing the citizens of these United States.

I call upon you as an elected representative of the Citizens of Missouri who has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution. If we are to continue as a republic we must protect and enforce the rule of law. It is your duty.

Today is my birthday and I am 44 years old. By all accounts, that puts me on the downward side of my life.

With the birth of any child their is always hope that life will be good and that great things might be accomplished.

It is also the same with the birth of a nation. On July 4, 1776, when our founders gave birth to the United States of America, they had hope that it’s people would be able to thrive and accomplish many good and wonderful things.

By all standards, America has done many good and wonderful things in her history. We’ve built many projects and our markets have provided an abundance of goods. We’ve excelled in technology and science. The people of our nation have freely given to the poor and hurting of the world like no other, but what has made America great is that we have given hope to the oppressed of this world by proclaiming the truth; liberty is for the individual.

It is also truth that these rights were not given to us by any king, president, or other mortal, but are endowed to us by our Creator. Among these unalienable rights we have life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness, and it is government’s job to protect them.

For these 44 years that I have been on earth, my government has failed to protect these unalienable rights. The blame however, doesn’t lay at their feet alone. It lies at my feet, and yours. It lies at the feet of every America who thought, “if I get a little bread and entertainment, that is enough”.

My friend, there is more to life than eating and drinking. If it where not so, living would be pretty meaningless.

So I ask you, on the day after the anniversary when 2,998 people where sacrificed for living in a country that believed in individual rights and liberty, what are you going to do?

You see its not about me or your neighbor, its about you. Where would our nation be if Paul Revere waited for someone else to warn his friends? Where would our nation be if George Washington waited for someone else to lead the continental army? Where would our nation be if John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin waited for someone else to sign the Declaration of Independence?

In my past I have allowed things to stop me from taking action. You may have allowed things to get in your way too, but it comes down to this - whether or not you believe that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are unalienable rights and “We the People” are the government, with a responsibility to protect those rights.

Ask yourself today, is the lie of a little bread and entertainment worth sacrificing your God given rights and responsibilities? If not, get started!

Ride like Paul Revere and warn your friends of those who seek to destroy our liberty. Lead others like George Washington in our fight against tyranny. Most importantly, sign your name on the eternal declaration proclaiming life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, even if it cost us our lives, our fortunes, or our sacred honor.
