Fred Goodman, a loving family man, is the husband of the former Mary Jo Horan Catuccio.  A proud native of this Senate District, he was born a resident of Palatine Bridge in Montgomery County, and is a current resident of Niskayuna in Schenectady County.

Fred graduated from the University at Albany School of Business and recieved his Juris Doctorate from Cardozo Law School.

Having worked over the past 24 years both in and out of government to help improve people's lives, Fred is committed to change. He knows that real change only happens when people work together to make it happen. That is why he has always been committed to community involvement. He is the immediate past President of Schenectady East Rotary and former member of the Schenectady County ABC Board and the Schenectady County Civil Service Commission. Fred was also President of Schenectady Community Action Program, and Vice President of the B’nai B’rith Parkside Apartments.

Since 2004, Fred has worked as a Deputy County Attorney with a focus on juvenile justice issues. He has seen first hand the need for a reinvestment in our community schools and bringing better jobs to our communities to raise the quality of life for all residents.
