The Borough of Keansburg (the “Borough”) located at the address below will hold a public hearing to obtain comments regarding its application the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP”) Green Acres Program for the proposed major diversion of parkland owned by the Borough. The application is subject to NJDEP commissioner and State House Commission approval.
The public hearing will be held on November 12, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Keansburg Borough Hall at 29 Church Street, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734. All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted to the agencies listed below. All written comments must be received within two weeks following the hearing, that is by November 27, 2009.
In accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.1 et seq., the Borough is proposing to divert 1000 square feet to expand the existing 30’ x 30’ cellular tower diversion to include an additional 20 x 50 area. The additional diversion will be adjacent to the existing compound and its use will be consistent with the cellular tower operations that are currently present at St. John’s Park.
