| The Board of Commissioners governs Oakland County. The Board consists of 25 members, one from each of 25 equally-populated districts. Each district is made up of about 48,000 residents, who elect a commissioner every two years.
Commissioner duties include:
- Establishing and revising County policies
- Establishing the property tax millage rate
- Adopting the annual county budget; and
- Establishing the Authority, Duties and Responsibilities of County Departments
Currently, I am a professor at Oakland Community College teaching mathematics, construction management, and concrete construction management. As a former graduate of Milford High School completing my college education, I found my way back to the community teaching high school mathematics in the Huron Valley School system. My children are graduates of the Walled Lake Consolidated School system. Therefore, as a long standing member of the community and resident of Commerce Township, I have a vested interest in the quality of life for this district.
I have the time, the energy, and the dedication for our community and our county. With my diverse educational background and small business experiences, as your District 7 Oakland County Commissioner, I will be accessible, approachable, and accountable by attending local municipal meetings taking your concerns and issues to the County level and participating in community events
