It’s my privilege to welcome you to our campaign website and thank you in advance for all of your interest, support and good wishes.  Please take a few moments to look around. Learn more about my experience as a Superior Court Commissioner.  Read more about why I believe our judicial system needs to be more inclusive of our community's rich diversity if we want our courts and judicial bench to be the best that it can be. We’re working hard to reach out to all voters and take our message to the residents across Santa Clara County, to meet with as many of you as possible, and hear your best ideas                  VOTE JUNE 3, 2008                        for improving the Santa Clara County

In a general sense, the purpose of this website is to provide a place where voters, supporters and friends can get important information about our election campaign. However, in a broader and more important context, it is my hope that you (the voters) will recognize the importance of this rare opportunity to make an impact on the third branch of government—the judiciary.

Unlike the executive and legislative branches of government where voters regularly participate in the selection of their representatives, most judges are appointed by the governor and thus judicial elections are rare.  While demographic changes in our diverse society are being reflected more and more in the executive and legislative branches, the same cannot be said for the judicial branch. It is vital to our system of justice that our courts reflect the diversity of our society. If there is to be equal justice for all, we must all do our part and exercise our right and responsibility to vote. Equal justice can only happen when everyone has equal access to the justice system.

Please join us in our campaign to promote and protect the integrity, independence and diversity of our courts. You deserve a judge who has the character, courage and independence to balance the competing rights and interests before the court, follow the law and make the difficult decisions. My record on the bench is clear. I have the proven experience, independence, integrity and work ethic to do the job of being a fair, firm and effective judge.  

We must all do our part to make the justice system work for all.  Campaigns are expensive. We need your help to reach more Santa Clara County residents with our message of fostering a fair and independent judicial system.
