| Why would you vote for Jeff Madden?
He is not a millionaire!
He is not Ivy league educated!
He is not a lawyer!
He has never been elected to political office!
James Madison on the House of Representatives:
"A representative of the United States must be of the age of twenty five years; must have been seven years a citizen of the United States; must, at the time of his election, be an inhabitant of the State he is to represent; and during the time of service, must be in no office under the United States. Under these reasonable limitations, the door of this part of the federal government is open to merit of every description, whether native or adoptive, whether young or old, and without regard to poverty or wealth, or to any profession of religious faith."
His intention was a government branch that mirrored the people and one that would protect and preserve the rights and wants of the people that it served.
Jeff Madden is that mirror image of society. He goes to work every day to support his family. He believes that his generation should leave to their children a better America than the one they inherited. He, like you, believes that the United States is the greatest place on earth. He believes that we owe a debt of gratitude to every man and woman who has ever served in the military. He believes that big government is the problem, not the solution. He believes that we are not taxed too little but that the government spends too much.
"Government of the people, by the people and for the people has become government of the rich, by the career politicians and for the big money special interest groups.
We find ourselves in a unique time in American history. It is a time where we need to stand up and take back our government, restore the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that continue to dissolve in the constant flow of new taxes, more government regulations and political correctness. It is also a time where a hard-working, patriotic, common sense political unknown can get his message out to millions of like-minded Americans and become that voice in Washington.
That is why I am running to be the representative of the people from the 8th Congressional District of Pennsylvania."-- Jeff Madden
