Friday, 11/14/08 (2:30pm) - The recount is complete. It's official, Todd Cowan will be Douglas County's next Tax Commissioner.
The final counts are:
Todd Cowan - 26,276
Henry Mitchell - 26,065

Wednesday, 11/12/08 (10:00pm) - The recount occurred today, however the results will not be finalized until sometime tomorrow (at the earliest). I will post the recount results as soon as they are released. Thanks!
Friday, 11/07/08 - all provisional ballots and out-of-state military ballots have been counted, and we are still leading by 165 votes. However, a recount has been requested. The recount is scheduled for Wednesday 11/12/08 at 10:00am, and should take 5 to 6 hours. Again, thank you for your support.
