PROVEN LEADERSHIP

As your candidate for Ward Committeeman, I pledge the following:

* To continue our successful efforts to build the Republican Party in the 32nd Ward and in the City of Chicago

* To continue to recruit new election judges and precinct coordinators in the ward

* To continue to print and circulate Republican information and Republican sample ballots for the general election

* To resume publication of an official 32nd Ward Republican website

* To continue Republican voter registration and "get out the vote" programs 

* To continue providing a 32nd Ward ballot security program to fight voter and election fraud in our community

* To continue to maintain effective contact information for ward Republicans

* To continue to support positive, sensible initiatives to improve and grow the Republican Party in Chicago and throughout Cook County

* To continue sponsorship of Republican events and meetings for Republicans in the ward

* To continue to provide responsive support for inquiring ward residents on civic and community matters

* To launch a special program to increase the Republican vote and Republican participation in Chicago

* To provide support for the 2008 Republican Presidential election campaign in November

* To continue to provide an open and inclusive basis for the involvement of all Republicans in the Republican Party in the 32nd Ward

POLICIES THAT JOHN SUPPORTS

Although it is neither typical nor productive for a Ward Committeeman to provide support for specific public policy initiatives, the political situation faced by 32nd Ward residents spurs me to take specific positions on issues of concern.  I strongly support the following:

* Low local taxes and opposition to State, County, and City initiatives to raise taxes in 2008

* Opposition to a Chicago casino

* Reduction of government spending and elimination of wasteful patronage jobs at the State, County, and City levels

* Improvement of law enforcement and the reduction of violent crime, sex crimes, and theft in our communities

* Initiatives to improve the Republican Party in Illinois and to move beyond the corruption legacy of former Governor George Ryan

I pledge to work with other elected Republican officials to promote and achieve these policy objectives.
