VOTING INFORMATION

The next General Primary Election for the Republican Party is on  February 5, 2008.  The polls are open on that day in each precinct in the 32nd Ward from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.  You must be registered to vote and must bring a government issued I.D. in order to guarantee ease of voting.  To locate your precinct polling place, click on www.chicagoelections.com and click on "Voters" to find the correct address.  Otherwise, you can contact our campaign by clicking "Contact Us" at left.

You may vote in person in your precinct on February 5, 2008, or you may Early Vote, or cast an Absentee Ballot.

VOTER REGISTRATION

You must be registered to vote at your current address in order to vote in the primary election.  If you are not registered at your current address, you have until January 8, 2008 to register to vote.  You may obtain information on how to register at www.chicagoelections.com and click on "Voters", or you may contact our campaign (click on "Contact Us" to the left). 

The law also permits limited "grace period" registration between January 9 and January 31.  To register during the grace period, you must go to the Chicago Board of Elections at 69 W. Washington, Chicago, Illinois and you can only cast your vote for the next election at that office.  (See www.chicagoelections.com for "grace period" registration information.)

ABSENTEE VOTING

If you will not be able to travel to your precinct polling place on February 5th, you may vote by absentee ballot before then.  Other limited circumstances also permit advance absentee voting.  Please go to www.chicagoelections.com and click on "Voters" to determine whether you qualify to vote absentee and to apply for an absentee ballot.  Applications for absentee ballot voting are available now.  You may also contact us (click on "Contact Us") in order to apply for an absentee ballot.  Time limitations apply (see www.chicagoelections.com).

EARLY VOTING

Under law, registered voters may "early vote" before the February 5th election day.  Voters in the 32nd Ward may early vote by voting in person at one of the following two locations from January 14th through January 31st:

1) Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, Pulaski Park, 1419 W. Blackhawk St., Chicago, IL

    Time:  9 am - 5 pm, Monday through Saturday

2) Chicago Election Board, 69 W. Washington St., Lower Level, Chicago, IL

     Time:  9 am - 5 pm, Monday through Saturday

               9 am - 12 noon, Sundays
