Help your neighborhood today by volunteering, but save your money for the truly NEEDY

We all need help from time to time, so we look to our family, our friends, and our good neighbors to lend us a helping hand.

Are you surprised not to see a "Donate Now" link on our website?  I don't believe in having people donate via credit card, putting them further into debt!

Instead of asking you to donate money to our campaign, I would rather have you  volunteer your time and talent to our campaign, and donate your money to those who are truly needy.  If you don't have a personal charity you give to, please consider some of the local Rhode Island charities that I have volunteered for through the years.

Edd Pedro here in Pawtucket holds a wiffleball tournament in Slater Park every summer to benefit the Arthritis Foundation.  Edd's daughter Kelsey was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of three, and they have raised over $94,000 during the past four years.  This year's tournament took place on Sunday, August 8th,  but it's not too late to help out!  To see their news video and/or donate:

Of course, if you are a family member, relative, friend, co-worker, or good neighbor who has known me for a while and would like to invest in Rhode Island's future, I WILL NOT insult you by returning your contribution!

For anyone whose name I would NOT immediately recognize, I ask you to write a one-page summary of why you are contributing to our cause, otherwise I will return your contribution, as it is a candidate's duty to avoid even the APPEARANCE of impropriety.

THANK YOU for investing your time to learn about our cause!
