About Todd
I’ve been proud to call this community, my home for the last 31 years. My journey through this community has taken me to many great places, from Miller Elementary to Pioneer Middle School, and to Salem High School. At a young age, I formed many great friendships in and outside of school, whether it was playing in the local neighborhoods, running around on the soccer fields, or attending Church at St. John Neumann. Like myself, many of my friends decided to stay in this wonderful community because it is home.
After graduating from Salem High School, I decided to attend Western Michigan University. I thought Western was a great choice for me because of the Hayworth College of Business, an academic scholarship, and the opportunity to play NCAA soccer. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to study at La Sorbonne Universite. I graduated from Western Michigan University earning a BBA with majors in Marketing and French. I also earned a minor in general business.
After college, I spent five years working for Norrell Staffing Services, where I was the operations manager. My responsibilities included: client and employee management/relations, recruitment, and interviewing. From there, in 2000, my twin brother Chris and I decided to make a bold decision and start our company called LaJoy Group. Our company is focused on staffing, workforce management and assessments. We blended new ideas and a great business plan with a strong work ethic, determination, and enthusiasm. Today, we now have over 80 employees.
Recently; I ran the Chicago marathon, became the Godfather of two wonderful children named Lena and Drew, celebrated my one year wedding anniversary to my caring wife Amy, and currently finishing up my 4 year term as a Canton Township Trustee.
