OUR GOALS

PHYSICAL SECURITY

Physical security is the prerequisite for any form of freedom and good life.  We cannot live a free and good life if we live in communities that have been destroyed by violence and ravaged by drugs.  We cannot live a good life if we become prisoners in our own homes because we fear leaving our homes due to the possibility of becoming a rape or murder victim. 

It is our job to help everyone achieve the most basic form of freedom of physical freedom, i.e., freedom from violence and fear, so that everyone can live a good and decent life.  Our job is to reclaim the streets from gang-bangers, drug dealers, and criminals and give it back to our children so that they can play on the streets once again without fear. 

To do this we must give everyone a reason to fight crime, violence, and drugs themselves.  The only way that we can do this is to give everyone a stake in their community.

To give everyone a stake in their community, we propose allowing people to purchase homes from government housing programs over a period of time.  If everyone owns their own homes then they will do everything they can to protect their homes from being destroyed by violence, drugs, and crime. 

This will promote community awareness, individual responsibility, and reciprocity of relationships among people because they will realize that for them to live in a safe community, they have to respect each others’ rights to a safe environment and that each person must do his own part to keep his community safe.  Furthermore, such a program will ensure government responsibility to the people.

ECONOMIC SECURITY

Not only must we achieve physical security from fear and violence to live a free and good life, but we must also achieve economic security.  People cannot live a good and decent life if they are constantly worrying about feeding their children and paying their bills. We can only achieve economic security if we attract business to impoverished communities.  And we can only attract businesses to these communities if we first make the communities physically safe by reducing crime, and then by providing tax incentives to people who open businesses in these communities.   

No hard working American wants a handout.  Every American just wants an opportunity to earn a living by their hard work.  And our goal is to provide people the opportunity to earn a living by their hard work.   

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Education is the ultimate tool that can help people live a decent and good life.  Our goal is to expand the educational opportunities for our children by reinvesting in public schools, but also by allowing our children other opportunities when our public schools fail them.  A good education will prepare our children for the challenges that will face them in the future.  Furthermore, more educational opportunities contribute to a safer environment because education helps us to understand the human differences that exist between each person; thus allowing us to identify with each other, share common experiences, and develop meaningful relationships, so that we can live in a peaceful and happy community.
