1.   Display of the Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments are the basis of much of our law.  Until recently everyone knew that the basic concepts of right and wrong were established by God, and our laws were merely human attempts to write down what God intended.  The Ten Commandments were displayed in many courthouses and other public buildings to remind all those present of these facts.  Now, judges think they know better than God and some of them are trying to remove God from the courtrooms and all public buildings.  We believe that Christians must do everything they can to stop this.

2.   Courts
The Federal Courts, and many State Courts, are out of contol.  Judges are legislating from the bench.  It is not clear that the Founders ever intended that the Courts would have the right to rule on the constitutionality of federal legislation.  The courts gave themselves that power in one of their early rulings.  However, at that time the judges thought their job was just to compare legislation against the original intent of the Founders, as described in the Constitution.  Today's judges feel they have the right to ignore what the Founders intended and reinterpret the Constitution to make if fit within what the judges believe are the current societal beliefes, or, even worse, within what the judges blieve the societal beliefes should be.

3.   Separation of Church and State
We believe that nothing like the current doctrine of separation of church and state was ever intended by the Founders.  This doctrine is a fiction that has been created by the courts in fairly recent years.  The Founders intended that this nations leaders would be Christian and expected that Priests and Pastors would provide guidance on all moral issues to the nations leaders and all other members of their congregations.  The only rule regarding religion established in the Constitution and the Amendments to the Constitution was that the Federal government was forbidden to establish a State religion.  When they used the term religion, they meant one of the Christian denominations.  They fully intended this nation to be a Christian nation.  The rule regarding establishing a State religion only applied to the Federal government.  The States have the right to do so, and at the time the Constitution was signed several had established specific Christian denominations as the official church of that State.

4.   Protecting the Unborn
We believe that life begins at conception and that is the duty of all Christians to do all in their power to ensure that the unborn are protected.  We oppose abortion.

5.   Homosexuality
We believe that God loves all His children and that we are to love one another.  We do not believe people should discriminate against homosexuals, but we also believe that homosexuals are not entitled to force displays of their lifestyle upon those who find such displays objectionable.  We are opposed to homosexual marriage and any other government action that would tend to support or encourage anyone in the homosexual lifestyle.  Christians show their love for homosexuals by trying to save their souls and helping them prepare for enternal life, not by trying to give them more happiness here on earth at the risk of eternal damnation.  According to the Bible, homosexuality is a sin.  While God loves us all, He is a stern Father.  In order to obtain His saving Grace, we must acknowledge our sin and repent.  If Christians support government actions that encourage homosexuals to continue sinning, we are helping condemn them to Hell for eternity.  Trying to make their life happier here on earth is not worth that.
