| Tim Lakin, a lifelong member of the Fond du Lac community, is currently serving as President of the Fond du Lac City Council in which he was elected April 2005. He is President of the Fond du Lac County Tavern League for which he has served since 2001. Tim sits on the Board of Directors for the Fond du Lac Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Fond du Lac Athletic Booster club. He is a member to various boards and committees which include, Fond du Lac Parking and Traffic Advisory Committee, the Downtown Fond du Lac Design Committee, which he served as past Chairmen, The Fond du Lac Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, The current President of the Businessmen’s Golf League at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, and a Past member of the Fond du Lac Redevelopment Authority. Tim has also volunteered with Walleye Weekend the Past 20 Years serving as the delivery chairman for Fond du Lac Festivals.
Tim Graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School in 1994, he attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton in 1994 and 1995 for their Police Science Program. He continued working for Warehouse Properties in Fond du Lac and in 1996 started a Corporation, T.J.L. Inc., which purchased The Main Pub, Located at 241 S. Main St. in Fond du Lac. That Same year Tim Started what is now known as Lakin’s Lawn Service and began a Snow Removal Service during the winter months. In 1997 He began working for Captain Ron's Seafood, a wholesale fresh and frozen Seafood Distributor located in Oshkosh. In 1998 he was promoted to General Manager and Corporate Sales Manager until 2000 when the business was sold. In the spring of 2000, Tim added full service landscaping and lawn maintenance to Lakin’s Lawn Service. Throughout these years Lakin's Lawn Service along with The Main Pub have become very successful business ventures. In the summer of 2007 he added Waterworks, a mobile Pressure washing business to his corporation and is currently marketing this service in the Fond du Lac area.
On March 18th, 2008, Tim entered the Senate Race and hopes to be your partner for the next four years in Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties as your State Senator.
