Taxes and Spending:
As Councilman Paul Ferro’s has consistently fought to restrain city spending, and thus keep taxes low. He pledges to continue to meticulously scrutinize every expenditure of your tax dollars. Fiscal responsibility is more than just talk: it is action. During his time on the Council, he has offered nearly 80% of the proposed reductions to the Mayors proposed budgets, comprising more than 85% of the total reductions made by the Council. That will save every taxpayer in Ward Two. Paul will continue to focus like a laser on wasteful city spending, and fight to keep taxes low.
Law and Order
When first elected to the City Council, Paul Ferro ran on the platform of restoring the 2003 police lay-offs. Over the last four years, he has worked with his City Council colleagues to bring the Marlborough police force back up to 48 officers. That will enable the police to not only better protect the citizens of Marlborough, but provides the manpower needed to effectively enforce traditionally secondary, but nonetheless important, crimes such as traffic and speeding enforcement on neighborhood streets.
Law and order is more than just the number of cops on the street, but is also about being pro-active as a Council in addressing concerns of the public. As Councilman, Paul has not been afraid to tackle the tough issues facing Ward Two, and will continue that pro-active attitude in the future.
Quality of Life:
Over the last six years, Paul has prided himself on his constituent service, helping make our community a great place to live and raise a family. Whether it is filling potholes, getting hundreds of thousands of dollars in road projects for Ward Two, or combating blight, Paul Ferro has been a Councilman who has delivered for Ward Two.
During the next two years, Paul Ferro will continue to fight to make Marlborough a better place to live, by addressing the little issues that make the quality of life for all residents better.
