With over 170 active members, we are Georgia's largest and most influential Young Republican club. Over the next year, we have an incredible opportunity to engage our demographic, a generation of young people who have become disillusioned with our government. This is our time to connect with people our age, reach out to our elected officials and alter the political course of the United States.

There are three key areas I would like to focus our time, money and resources over the next year:

1. Grassroots – In 2010, we have the ability to take back control of the U.S. House and Senate. Also, we must help turn out the vote for all races from the top of the ticket to the bottom. So often we overlook the importance of down-ballot races, forgetting that every Republican in office can defend our conservative values.

2. Fund raising – We are one of the strongest YR clubs in the nation, but we have so much room for growth. This is not Washington D.C.; we value every dollar that we raise and we use it in the best possible way to grow our club, increase voter turnout, utilize new technology, help with community events and promote our club and Party.

3. Membership – I am proud to be a member of the largest YR club in the South, and we have the ability to make a huge impact. But we cannot be satisfied with where we are today. Over the next 12 months, it is my goal to reach the 200-member mark. Not because we want more bodies in a room, but because we need more active young people involved who are energized and ready to help put Republicans in office.

I look forward to seeing you at a meeting, happy hour or community event in order to show you why we are the best young professional group in Atlanta.
