| The Constitution is and has been under attack by politicians who appoint activist judges. These politicians seek to accomplish by judicial order that which cannot be obtained through democratic vote.
These politicians and activist judges tell you that the Constitution is a “living, breathing” document; this is simply not true. The Constitution is a document that laid down the rules for government and the Bill of Rights ensured citizen protection from government abuses.
The Constitution necessarily limited the authority of the Federal government and placed much of the power in the hands of the individual states.
Those who seek to view the Constitution as a living breathing document tell you that the founding fathers could not have envisioned the complex modern world. Therefore, the original intent they held when writing the document must be interpreted under modern conditions; this also is simply not true.
Our founding fathers wrote into the Constitution a mechanism for changing the manner, mode and authority of the Federal government, an Amendment Clause. This is how the Constitution is to be changed. It should not be changed easily, for political purpose or to satisfy the fickle momentary wants of a few.
We now have a Federal government that is involved in Education, Abortion, Privacy, Welfare, Corporate Subsidies, etc.; the list goes on and on.
Read the copy of the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the Other Amendments I have placed on this site. You make your own decision: Do we continue with the same failed Federal policies? Or do we bring the Federal government back into compliance with the Constitution? |
