Issues

  • Lower Taxes

Robin is a strong proponent of smaller government and lower taxes.  He knows that hardworking Wisconsin families deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money.  Robin opposes all tax increases and actively supports all efforts to cut taxes, government spending, and unnecessary government regulation.

  • Stronger Economy

Wisconsinites everywhere are feeling anxiety about the
struggling economy.  From gas to groceries, our budgets
are being stretched farther to cover the rising costs of
          goods and essential services.

To get the state back on track, Robin believes government's role should be minimal,
but that is should support all efforts in the private sector that will create new jobs, retain current ones, and return former jobs that have left because of heavy government regulations and high tax burden in Wisconsin.

  • Affordable, Quality Health Care

Wisconsinites deserve affordable, quality health care. But they also deserve a choice.  Robin knows that allowing the Democrats to stage a government takeover of our very successful healthcare system will result in decreased access and very little choice for Wisconsin consumers.  That is why he opposes Healthy Wisconsin.

Instead, Robin wants to encourage better disclosure and  the availability of quality information to empower Wisconsin families to make the best health care decisions possible.  He also favors tax incentives to enhance affordability and wellness programs and incentives to drive down cost.

Further, Robin supports drastically cutting the cost of health care plans so every family will have access to
low-cost health care.  By eliminating costly government mandates, and creating basic health plans, insurance will become much more affordable.  Consumers will be able to purchase purchase plans that cover only the things they need, and opt out of paying for all of the coverage mandated by the State of Wisconsin - which causes a huge increase in everyone's premiums.

Florida recently implemented this plan - called "Cover Florida" - and they are experiencing great success.  Click here to read more about this plan: http://www.heartland.org/Article.cfm?artId=23576
