| HAYES DELIVERS DAEMEN COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS |

| Assemblyman Jim Hayes received an honorary doctorate from Daemen College in recognition of "outstanding service to the community" from President Martin J. Anisman, during the school's 57th graduation ceremony.
Hayes gave the commencement address, telling graduates to "be audacious and challenge conventional wisdom." Hayes mother, Thelma Farley, is a 1961 graduate of Daemen, then known as Rosary Hill.
