I ran for the Town Council in 2006 to help people and achieve specific results -- to improve our transportation network, build recreational trails and parks, focus spending where it is needed -- like police protection -- and cut fat, waste and red tape in government.

And, we have succeeded. Battlefield Parkway is now open from the Greenway to Route 7; Sycolin Road is paved from Leesburg to Ashburn; our water park and off-leash parks have been wild successes, and we have streamlined our regulatory processes.

We have hired four new police officers and focused much of them downtown, and we are improving the downtown to make it more viable and attractive to residents -- not just tourists.

I have voted against every single-family residential rezoning that has come before the Council, but have supported business-tax-generating projects, such as Wegman's and the Village of Leesburg.

I have helped numerous constituents with problems, including issues where I could not have a vote, such as school boundaries, or even helping the unemployed find work.

In other words, I can show Results, not just rhetoric.

I look foward to another four years as your Council member, but need your help.
