| The federal government is spending its way toward socialism. Socialism didn't work in the USSR and it isn't working in Cuba. We don't want it here. Government-run health care isn't working in Sweden, Britain, or Canada. We don't want it here.
We support self rule and self reliance, low taxes, and free markets.
FOREIGN POLICY
We should reduce foreign aid (welfare for nations)
End foreign intervention, including military aid. Trade with those nations.
TAXES and CURRENCY.
Eliminate estate taxes (that capital has already been taxed)
Eliminate capital gains tax (part of reportable gain is due to falling value of the dollar)
Eliminate alternative minimum tax (now beyond original intent)
We must stop the collapse of the U. S. dollar
CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT
We must return to the limited government of the U. S. CONSTITUTION and the Bill of Rights:
e.g. Second Amendment: Maintain the right to bear arms.
Tenth Amendment: Maintain States Rights
WE NEED TO REDUCE SPENDING
Our ten trillion dollar debt is crushing us, our children, and our grandchildren. We have a "debt ceiling". Congress treats the ceiling like a rising elevator, not a ceiling. Stop raising the ceiling. We need to cut spending enough to reduce the debt 2% per year, not allow the debt to grow and grow.
We should not increase this debt by $700,000,000,000 by passing the "Bailout" Bill on September 29.
We are spending $400,000,000 a day in Iraq. Cut back. We have military bases in 130 nations. Close 10%. Again, reduce foreign aid.
WE NEED TO CHANGE
We should curtail the growth of the federal Department of Education and allow the states and their communities more authority and responsibility to educate our children. Eliminate "No Child Left Behind".
We should eliminate incentives that encourage illegal immigration, e.g., free medical care, free education, anchor babies. We should reduce the sentences of imprisoned U. S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campeon.
We should eliminate farm subsidies. Income on large farms is already high. And farming is no more risky than opening a restaurant or starting a technology company. Those aren't subsidized. And paying farmers to not plant? No way.
We should eliminate non-essential federal activities like the Citizen's Stamp Advisory Committee and the Indian Arts and Crafts Board.
Russia is giving its energy development companies incentives and tax breaks. Some here want to increase taxes on our energy producers. Russia has the right idea. Some of our legislators don't. We need to encourage more solar panel installations and construction of more nuclear reactors
