AUGUST 11 UPDATE: Congratulations to Maclyn Stringer, who won the Libertarian primary for U.S. Senate on August 10.  Mac and I were at a party attended by over 70 people that night and watched the lead change four times.  But it stayed in his favor in the end.  Please support Mac by visiting macforcolorado.com and get involved in his campaign; he's a good man and deserves your help. 

I want to thank all the people who worked on this campaign; we called several thousand people the old-fashioned way and made speeches from Cortez to Craig.  I hope that this campaign has had a positive impact on our political system, and I encourage all of you to keep involved, for the benefit of our country and its future generations.

Is Obama giving us "Change We Can Believe In?" More like "Change We Got Stuck With." America is now partly socialist and is on track to go completely socialist if we don't stop Obama and his crowd.  Just look here and here to see how much economic freedom we've lost. And you already know about the warrantless wiretaps, spying on our library records and emails.  Both parties wipe away our freedom when they're in power.   Both are fiscally irresponsible.  Both force through legislation without having even read the bill.  Both vote for pay raises in the middle of the night, when nobody's watching.

Both major parties put away the Constitution as soon as they take an oath to defend it.  John Finger will bring it back.  Join me in my effort to get a seat for US in the U.S. Senate, so we can do what works and put our Constitution back in its rightful place.   John is a candidate from the Libertarian party. 

We have a unique opportunity in 2010, in that we've recently seen both major parties in complete control, and both have messed it up.  We know what a mess the Democrats are making now.  But just four short years ago, the Republicans were in power, and they messed it up just as badly.  It's time for a third party.  Our time is now.

• Reduce corporate and individual income taxes - for everybody, including the rich.  This has never EVER failed to stop a recession.   
• Mandate that Congress be subject to the same laws it enacts for the rest of us
• Reduce Congressional salaries by 1/3 & eliminate Congressional pensions 
• Impose term limits on all members of Congress.   
• Reduce all federal employees' pay (except military, CIA, FBI and Secret Service) by 1/3
• Stop employer matching to federal employees' pay
• Mandate a 72-hour waiting period before bills are voted on
• Mandate that Congress stop the unfunded mandates they stick on the states
• Eliminate the federal minimum wage
• Eliminate the federal war on drugs
• Eliminate the DEA, ATF, the Environmental Protection Agency, Departments of Education and Energy and eventually the IRS
• Withdraw from the United Nations
• Stop the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq
• Vote against earmarks
• Merge the Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency.  (Can anyone tell me what the difference is?)
• Make charitable deductions unlimited.
• Partially privatize Social Security and Medicare
• Increase funding for homeless and disabled veterans
