Mississippi's Advocate for the Taxpayers of our State

Mississippi is a great state with upward mobility being our number one goal.  Whether it is improving our education system to allow our graduates better opportunities in life, enhancing economic development to give businesses a better chance to succeed, or improving the quality of life so our residents can achieve the American Dream right here at home - Mississippi is on the move up!

But being on the move does not mean we should forget the past.  Too many states have allowed their State Legislatures to forget that the revenues that provide public opportunities for the future come from those who give their tax dollars by working today.  It is not the government's money they are spending, it is the hard earned tax dollars of every Mississippian.

To that end Mississippi Forward is the advocate of the taxpayer in Mississippi.  An affiliate of the National Taxpayers Union we are a nonprofit, non-partisan citizen group whose members work every day for lower taxes and smaller government at all levels in our state.

In order to allow the private sector to flourish and continue our state's move forward, it is vitally important for us to continue keeping taxes low. The Legislature is forced by law to have a balanced budget to keep from spending beyond our means, but we must continue to fight against those elected representatives who would raise our taxes so that they can raise their spending.

We here at Mississippi Forward promise to fight for these and other important pro-taxpayer causes, so as to ensure that all Americans are able to pursue their dreams without the hand of Big Government holding them back.  Working together we can move Mississippi Forward, but only if we use prudent and responsible fiscal policies for our future.
