REESTABLISH THE VALUE IN OUR HOME PRICES! 

     My second major initiative and concern for the 11th District is the mortgage and credit crunch that is causing housing prices in this district, throughout Michigan, and throughout this country to fall. For the great majority of citizens, their home is the biggest and most important investment they will make in their lifetime. If elected, my priority would be to pass laws to assure that the lowest possible interest rates are available, to assure the availability of credit, to assure unscrupulous lenders are penalized or put out of business, to assure those with adjustable interest rates will be able to lock in at fixed rates that will allow them to keep their homes, and to assure that those who have lost their jobs are given every advantage possible to keep their homes. With every foreclosure on a mortgage, comes the continued drop in housing prices. The best solution of course is the maintenance of good paying, productive jobs for all the residents of the 11TH District. The creation of such jobs for any representative of the 11TH District must be a top priority!
