We live in the best community in the state, why not have the best school district in the state? I am seeking the office of School Board Position 5 because I believe that the Anacortes School District can be just that. 

In spite of recent budget troubles and layoffs, our school district is poised for greatness. We have excellent senior leadership, teachers, staff, and a dedicated school board. First priority for funds must be for the classroom and the teacher. 

  We must offer excellent vocational and college prep pathways for students through enthusiastic and passionate teachers. It will give our kids a great education, an edge in the job market, as well as attract new families and businesses to Anacortes.

  The school board must be open, honest, and connected to the community.  We must keep taxes low and advance private sector and individual sponsorships for programs and events.
