State Senator Mark Obenshain

Senator Obenshain was first elected in 2003 and was re-elected with over 70% of the vote in 2007. A partner in Lenhart Obenshian, Mark is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Washington and Lee School of Law. Mark's involvement in politics goes back to his father Richard Obenshain's run for U.S. Senate in 1978, which ended in tragedy when Obenshain's plane crashed in July. However, his son carries on the legacy, having served as chairman of both the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County Committees prior to serving in the State Senate.
